The IIT Madras Alumni Association Thiruvananthapuram chapter (IITMAA-T) conducted its second annual meet on February 14. Speaking on the occasion, public health researcher V. Ramankutty highlighted the relevance of public health in the present era of sudden leap in life expectancy. IIT Madras Dean of Alumni and Corporate Affairs Ashwin Mahalingam, Chief Executive Officer of Institutional Advancement Kaviraj Nair, IITMAA president Sridhar Boovaraghavan and IITMAA-T chairperson B.S. Manoj also spoke on the occasion. IITMAA-T vice-chairperson Nisha Kurur took over as the new chairperson of the alumni chapter.
