Chief Minister M.K. Stalin virtually commissioned a 419-bed Government Headquarters Hospital building at Nalligapetta Agraharam in Hosur on Monday.

The hospital, spread over 2,41,064 sq. ft, is a ground floor plus six-story building complex with a built-up area of 2,17,071 sq. ft.

The new Government Headquarters Hospital for Hosur was an outcome of an announcement made by the Chief Minister for the upgradation of Hosur government hospital under the National Health Mission at a cost of ₹100 crore. Following this, administrative sanction was accorded and six acres was allocated in Nalligapetta Agraharam on Hosur-Rayakottai road.

The foundation for the project was laid in January 2024, and works commenced in March the same year.

The government headquarters hospital complex also includes a kitchen, Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), staff rest area, built up over 1,327 sq. ft. The building also includes separate wards for tuberculosis and leprosy, along with other sections including laundry facility and a mortuary complex.

In addition, the Vizhudhugal differently abled service centre, established under the TN-RIGHTS scheme, was also inaugurated at a cost of ₹16 .85 lakh within the hospital complex.
