MLA urges Anantapur Municipal Commissioner to prioritise city sanitation

Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad urged Anantapur Municipal Corporation (AMC) Commissioner Jaswant Rao to prioritise city sanitation.

Mr. Jaswant Rao, who was appointed as Commissioner of Anantapur Municipal Corporation recently, called on the MLA in the latter’s camp office, on Monday. They discussed various issues concerning the city, particularly town planning and sanitation.

The MLA asked the Commissioner to improve sanitation conditions, particularly in the residential areas on the outskirts of the city. Mr. Venkateswara Prasad urged the Commissioner to respond to public complaints immediately and monitor the functioning of the staff. He also asked Mr. Jaswant Rao to ensure that all the wings of the Corporation function without corruption.
