Ms. Sailaja is expected to visit a few tribal villages, anganwadi centres and primary health centres (PHCs) in Buttaigudem, Kukunur, Velerupadu and other mandals and interact with the women. “The Commission will verify the medical records of some abortion cases, and inquire into the reasons for 281 abortions registered in just nine months,” an officer said. Ms. Rayapati Sailaja planned to probe into the 319 unregistered child births in the PHCs, community health centres (CHCs) and in the nearby Area Government hospitals. Eluru district Collector K.
