The Rotary Club of United Chennai organised its annual marathon to create awareness about polio in Besant Nagar on Sunday. The marathon was held in two categories — 2 km and 5 km — on the theme “Run to End Polio” and saw more than 750 participants. Flagging off the marathon, D. Devendran, Governor for Rotary International District 3233, said the Rotary International’s PolioPlus programme was instrumental in making India a polio-free nation.
