Municipal Administration Director P. Madhusudhan Reddy on Sunday conducted inspections at the upcoming projects of Thoothukudi Corporation.

He was accompanied by Thoothukudi District Collector K. Elambahavath, Corporation Commissioner S. Priyanka and other officials.

Mr. Reddy inspected the park being constructed at a cost of ₹8 crores in Harbour Beach, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, electric crematorium at a cost ₹1.63 crore in Ayyan Koil area and Animal Birth Control (ABC) centre coming up at a cost of ₹65 lakhs.

He further reviewed the construction of ₹2.99 crore worth “Mudalvar Padaippagam” in Sivanthakulam and new swimming pool being developed at a cost of ₹4.01 crore in Muthunagar Beach.

He also inspected the ongoing Underground Drainage System (UGDS) work in Thoothukudi corporation, district library being constructed at a cost of ₹9.85 crore, and Puckle Canal widening project being carried out at a cost of ₹53.70 crore.
