The Kuniyamuthur police, on Saturday (February 14, 2026), arrested four persons on charges of attempting to murder three men following a dispute over an alleged love affair. The arrested have been identified as M. Sanjeev (21), S. Asarudin (23), S. Vishnu (22) and Manoj Kumar (23) of Kuniyamuthur. The police are on the lookout for two others – Santhosh and Abishek. According to the police, the accused stabbed M. Karthik (21) of Sundakamuthur, his brother M. Surya (20) and their friend Vishwa (21) of Kuniyamuthur around 11.30 p.m. on Friday (February 13, 2026). The police said that Vishwa’s brother and Sanjeev had a long-standing enmity over a love affair. Karthik recently intervened to mediate on behalf of Vishwa’s brother, which reportedly enraged Sanjeev and his associates, resulting in the assault.
