Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) organised a two day conference of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association, Tamil Nadu – 7th TAN-ISHACON. Over 900 delegates including from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra took part in the conference that was held on the theme “Link-Learn-Lead”.

It aimed at strengthening collaboration, promoting evidence-based practice, and developing leadership in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. Annamma George was conferred with the “Thiru S. Manoharan Endowment Oration Award” in recognition of her 20 years of service as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the field of neuro-communication disorders.

S. Sowmya, Vice-Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University; Nachiketa Rout, Director, NIEPMD; Samyuktha Venkataachalam, Trustee, Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust and Uma Sekar, Vice-Chancellor, SRIHER were present, a press release said.
