A large number of devotees participated in a mass rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa held at the Maharaja’s College Grounds here on Saturday.

The event was organised by the Avadhoota Datta Peetham, for which a massive pandal was erected to accommodate devotees taking part in the day-long programme. The chanting was led by Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji. The junior seer of the ashram was also present.

Participants began arriving early in the morning as organisers anticipated a large turnout. Seating arrangements were made for devotees, and prasada was distributed to participants during the event.

Police personnel were deployed to maintain security, while traffic police managed congestion around the venue as large crowds gathered.

Several political leaders, including MLAs T.S. Srivatsa, G.T. Deve Gowda, and K. Harish Gowda, along with former MLAs L. Nagendra and S.A. Ramdas, attended the programme.
