Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph said that the investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft was unsatisfactory. Citing the observations of the Kerala High Court, he said the investigation lacked speed and had failed to name “big guns” involved in the case. He pointed out that the authorities had neither ascertained the exact quantity of gold lost nor recovered it fully, and that all the accused were yet to be arrested. He also asked why the interrogation of former Minister Kadakampally Surendran was kept confidential and demanded answers from the Chief Minister.
