The CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood, Mangaluru will host a two-day business excellence workshop for micro and small enterprises in Mangaluru from Wednesday.

It will be held at Kanara Industries Association hall in Baikampady Industrial Area between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum will also be launched on the occasion.

Natraj Hegde, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru chapter and Managing Director S. N. Cryogenics Pvt Ltd., said in a release that the workshop aims to empower micro and small businesses in Dakshina Kannada by providing practical insights into key business areas such as profit and loss management, risk assessment, balance sheet analysis, sales strategy, cash flow optimisation, and marketing.

“Dakshina Kannada has over 18,500 registered MSMEs, where 99% of the registered MSMEs are micro enterprises, in sectors of Food Processing and Marine Products, Petrochemical & Allied Units, Coir Industry, Biotech & Innovation, Manufacturing and Engineering, Logistics & Services, and such. The CII CEL Micro Business Excellence Initiative aims to provide a dynamic platform for these businesses to connect, learn, and grow,” Mr. Hegde said.

“The CII CEL Micro Business Excellence Initiative is active in seven states across the nation, working with 2000 plus microenterprises, supporting their journey of growth. We are excited to launch the Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum,” said Prakash Rao, former chairman, CII Mangaluru and director, Kalbavi Cashews.

Participants who are part of the Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum, will avail one year of free hand holding support, including continuous capacity building, mentorship, and facilitation for market linkages, the release said.
