Bill Gates, founder-chair of the Gates Foundation, will visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16 along with a delegation to review ongoing collaborations with the State government.

According to sources at Chief Minister’s Office here, Mr. Gates will meet Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Minister for IT Nara Lokesh to discuss expansion of projects supported by the foundation in education, healthcare and agriculture.

Mr. Gates is scheduled to arrive at the Secretariat at 10 a.m. and later visit the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) centre to examine the use of technology in governance. The Chief Minister will brief him on real-time governance practices and their outcomes.

A detailed presentation will be made on the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 goals, public health initiatives, agricultural reforms and education sector interventions. The government will also explain to him the progress in med-tech, diagnostics and the Sanjeevani project being implemented with the foundation’s support.

Later, the delegation will visit an agricultural field near Undavalli village in Amaravati to observe drone-based farming and AI-enabled cultivation practices. Officials said the visit aims to strengthen institutional partnerships and scale up technology-driven development initiatives across sectors in the State.
