Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T. Jagga Reddy provided financial assistance to five cancer patients of Sangareddy Assembly constituency, reaffirming his commitment of supporting poor patients battling the disease. Mr. Reddy handed over ₹2 lakh each to five cancer patients to help them meet treatment expenses. He recalled that on several occasions in the past he extended financial aid running into lakhs of rupees to cancer patients. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jagga Reddy urged people to stay away from harmful habits such as chewing gutka and smoking. He said that while cancer has multiple causes, falling prey to the disease due to bad habits amounts to doing injustice to one’s own family.
