Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala on Friday served a privilege notice against Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan over “contradictory and unrealistic replies” in the Assembly regarding the amount spent by the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) for the Global Ayyappa Sangam that it organised at Pampa in September 2025. In his letter to the Speaker, Mr. Chennithala requested that permission be granted to serve a privilege notice as the Minister had attempted to mislead the Assembly.
