Chandrababu Naidu’s mother. During a discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address in the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Lokesh questioned how such remarks could be dismissed as “two small words,” He said that insulting any woman, especially a mother, cannot be taken lightly. He refuted allegations made by YSRCP Legislative Council Floor leader Botcha Satyanarayana and YSRCP MLC B. Israel regarding the arrest of Mr. Ambati Rambabu and their claims that law and order in the State had deteriorated. “The coalition government does not engage in vendetta politics, but it will take strict action against anyone who speaks disrespectfully about women,” he asserted. The Minister made it clear that whether it concerned the Chief Minister’s mother, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mother, or any other woman, the government would not tolerate derogatory remarks. He challenged the opposition party leaders to spell out whether Mr. Ambati Rambabu’s statement was right or wrong, and asked what action was taken during the previous government in similar situations.
