Hyderabad In an interesting twist in the municipal polls, the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) has secured a decisive victory in Vaddepalli municipality of Jogulamba Gadwal district. The Forward Block won eight seats out of the 10, while the Congress and BRS secured one seat each. The AIFB candidates were supported by Telangana Jagruthi leader K. Kavitha, who had announced before the polls that her candidates would be contesting on the AIFB platform as the Telangana Jagruthi was yet to be launched as a political party. The Gadwal constituency is represented by Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy, who was elected on the BRS ticket and defected to the Congress. However, the Speaker ruled that Mr. Reddy continues to be a BRS MLA. Gadwal is also the constituency of BJP MP from Mahabubnagar district and stalwart in the district D.K. Aruna.
