Two minor children from Mandya were rescued at Udupi Railway Station, on Thursday, February 12. According to a press release by the Konkan Railways, the two boys were found travelling from Mandya in the general coach, without a ticket, in the Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru – Murudeshwar Express train (Train No. 16585) on Wednesday. Travelling Ticket Examiner Sabitha Shetty informed RPF Assistant Sub Inspector Surjith at Udupi Railway Station. Soon after the train arrived at Udupi Railway Station at 10.55 a.m. on Thursday, Ms. Shetty and Mr. Surjith rescued the two boys. After a legal procedure, the two minor boys were handed over to the child help desk, the release stated.
