The window panes of Maveli Express were damaged in stone-pelting between Kannur and Thalassery, raising fresh concerns over passenger safety after a similar attack on Vande Bharat Express a few days ago. The Mangaluru-bound train was found with shattered window panes after it reached its destination on Thursday morning. The Railway Protection Force has registered a case and launched an investigation. The incident comes close on the heels of a similar attack on Vande Bharat Express near Kannur South, in which a window pane of the train was damaged. The accused in that case are yet to be apprehended.
