The Cyberabad Commissionerate celebrated its 24th Formation Day on Thursday (February 12, 2026), marking over two decades of policing one of the country’s fastest-growing urban regions. The celebrations were marked by flag hoisting at the commissionerate and also included a blood donation camp, a plantation drive and community engagement programmes organised by the commissionerate. Established in 2003, the Cyberabad police commissionerate was formed to meet the growing security needs of the expanding IT and industrial corridor. Over the years, it has evolved into a major urban policing unit overseeing key economic zones including the Financial District, IT corridor, Global Capability Centres, medical and vaccine hubs and other strategic establishments. Officials said the Formation Day is an occasion to reflect on the force’s journey, its adoption of technology-driven policing, cybercrime enforcement, traffic and community-oriented initiatives, as well as to reaffirm its commitment to citizen safety and public service in a rapidly developing metropolitan region.
