The jallikattu organised at Thirunallur village in the district on Thursday left 43 persons injured. As many as 630 bulls were released during the event with the number of contestants being 300. The police said 39 injured persons were treated as out-patients at the event venue while the remaining four injured persons were referred to the government hospitals at Ilupur and Viralimalai.
