Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Thursday flagged off 172 four-wheel vehicles that were inducted by the Kerala Police into service. The newly procured vehicles will be distributed across various police units in the State, including police stations, control rooms, offices of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) in special units and battalions. According to an official release, 86 vehicles have been allocated to police stations across the State, while 36 vehicles have been assigned to police control rooms to bolster law and order management and enhance public safety. In addition, 20 vehicles have been provided to various battalions and special units. The remaining 30 vehicles have been earmarked for Dy.SPs serving in special units. State Police Chief Ravada A.
