The Vidyavardhaka Sangha has unanimously elected its new management committee for a five-year term at the general body meeting held recently. All office-bearers and members were elected unopposed, reflecting a broad consensus among the members. Except for two members, the entire previous committee has been re-elected. Gundappa Gowda has been elected as president, while B. Shivalingappa, a retired deputy general manager of Vysya Bank, has been chosen unopposed as vice-president. Srishyla Ramannavar has been elected treasurer, and P. Vishwanath, former Mayor of the Mysuru City Corporation, has been elected unopposed as secretary of the Sangha. The management committee includes Chandrashekar C.S., Abdul Jameel, S. Shivalingaiah, Sharma M.S.M., T. Nagaraj, Tamanna, and K.M. Rajashekar and Somashekar, who are the newly elected members in the committee, a release said.
