Natham police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly attacking a BJP functionary with a sickle in Natham due to previous enmity. According to the police, Balamurugan, 35, attacked BJP functionary Selvaraj, 50, due to previous enmity. Selvaraj was immediately taken to the government hospital in Natham for treatment. He was then referred to Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital for further treatment. Natham police have registered a case.
