The phase one facelift of the domestic terminal at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport has been completed and opened for passengers, offering a more modern, comfortable, and seamless journey. Amber Dubey, CEO – AERO, Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), and Rahul Bhatkoti, chief airport officer, officially opened the facility on Wednesday as part of the ongoing development efforts to improve airport services.

The canopy expansion in the domestic terminal is taking place in three phases, and phase one has now been completed while the work on the remaining phases will start soon. The domestic terminal, which has the capacity to handle 1.3 million passengers, is now handling around twice the original capacity. A ₹600-crore worth airside expansion is under way at Terminal two.
