Bombay, Feb. 10: The Imperial Citizenship Association has telegraphed to the Viceroy, stating that the passing of the Colour Bar Bill by the South African Assembly provides an appropriate occasion for the exercise of the power of veto vested in His Majesty, and beseeching His Excellency to urge His Majesty’s Government to take the necessary steps to prevent thereby a catastrophe, dangerous alike to the Indians in South Africa and to the integrity of the Empire.
