Waltair Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra on Tuesday conducted an intensive inspection of the Kottavalasa–Kirandul (KK) line to review the progress of the ongoing works relating to Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, infrastructure development, and passenger amenities. Accompanied by senior divisional officers from various departments, he inspected the station, yard, and railway offices at Silakjhori station. At Dilimili, the DRM inspected the Railway Colony and interacted with the residents to understand their grievances. He inspected the station, the Traction Distribution Office substation, and the yard. Mr. Bohra also reviewed the progress of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme works at Jagdalpur station. He inspected the station yards at Jagdalpur, Amagura, Jeypore, and Koraput stations and observed safety inspections of railway tracks. He interacted with officials to assess their working knowledge, adherence to safety norms, and implementation of safety practices. He inspected railway quarters at stations en route, according to a statement issued by K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager.. Further, the DRM reviewed infrastructure maintenance works including tracks, bridges, points and crossings, level crossing gates, tunnels, and signalling systems. During the inspection, he interacted with gangmen to gain insights into their working conditions and the effectiveness of safety protocols being followed.
