Unidentified burglars broke into the University of Hyderabad campus and stole 50 laptops from a classroom at the CR Rao Institute in the University of Hyderabad on Sunday night. According to the police, the burglars gained entry by removing the iron grille of a rear window of the CR Rao Institute building. After forcing their way inside, they entered a classroom and made away with 50 laptops that were kept for students’ practical sessions. Officials said they found certain clues, including a dismantled window grille, tyre marks near the building, suggesting that the suspects arrived at the spot and fled in a car. A case has been registered by the Gachibowli police and further investigation is under way.
