A court here has awarded life imprisonment to a woman and two others for murdering her husband. According to prosecution, Gnana Akhila, 34, of Vallaththu Nambikulam under Veeravanallur police station limits murdered her husband Murugan, 38, with the help of Muthuraj, 30, and Panju Rajan, 33, also from the same area in 2017 following a domestic quarrel. First Additional Sessions Court Magistrate Selvam awarded life imprisonment to Gnana Akhila, Muthuraj and Panju Rajan, and imposed a fine of ₹ 10,000 each on them on Tuesday. The Magistrate also awarded another 10 years’ imprisonment to Gnana Akhila and slapped her with a fine of ₹15,000 for abducting Murugan before murdering him.
