The Vision Plan of Information and Public Relations Department in Tiruppur district is centered around digital technology.

The department has spelt out its plans for creating a separate website and uploading virtual reality videos of memorial halls, and details of all memorials in Tamil Nadu.

Aiming to establish an Information Technology Division, the department envisages uploading information about all government departments, and government events to the website.

Setting up of LED video walls in all corporations, municipalities, town panchayats and tourist spots with high public footfall to broadcast government schemes; uploading virtual reality videos of all important places in the district; preparing and providing a public charter handbook with full details including telephone numbers of officers of all departments, and uploading it on the website; utilising ultra-modern video equipment, laptops, computers, handheld computers, and drone cameras; and instant livestreaming of events on social media also find a place in the department’s vision statement.

In the non-digital sphere, the department has conceptualised a joyous park and science park for children to generate income for the government; establish a 24-hour call centre on rotational basis to help the public; and setting up an information service centre on a low-cost basis.
