A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate contesting the Telangana municipal elections-2026 allegedly ended his life in Narayanpet District on Tuesday (February 10, 2026), police said. Erukula Mahadevappa (45), contesting for the councillor post, ended his life at his house in Makthal at around 4.30 AM, they said. As of now, there is no prima facie evidence of abetment, but police are investigating from all angles, a senior police official said. There is no specific allegation from the family members of the deceased, the official said.
