Bangladesh has secured a reduced 19 percent tariff on exports to the United States under a new trade agreement announced by interim chief Muhammad Yunus. The deal offers zero-tariff access for select textiles made with U.S. cotton and includes commitments on agriculture, energy imports, and trade reforms. The U.S. remains Bangladesh’s largest export market, and analysts say the agreement brings crucial relief to apparel exporters.
