Tamil Nadu Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare M.R.K. Panneerselvam serving food to sanitation workers of Cuddalore Corporation on Monday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare M.R.K. Panneerselvam on Monday launched the free meal scheme for sanitation workers of Cuddalore Corporation. Following the launch of the initiative earlier in Tiruvallur district by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the programme — aimed at ensuring nutritious food for sanitation workers across the State — was rolled out in Cuddalore district. Food distribution commenced in the Corporation, covering 623 persons, including sanitation workers, drivers, and mosquito control workers. Mr. Panneerselvam said the scheme would be extended to sanitation workers in town panchayats and panchayats. Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar was present.
