The East Coast Railway (ECoR) bagged third place in the Akhil Rail Hindi Quiz Competition–2025, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), at the Indian Railway Institute of Financial Management (IRIFM) in Secunderabad. In all, 28 teams from various Zonal Railways and production units participated. The competition was organised with the objective of promoting interest in the Official Language (Hindi) among railway officers and employees and encouraging the use of Rajbhasha in official work. V. G. Bhooma, Additional Member (HR), Railway Board, participated as chief guest and V. Suguna, Director (Official Language), was the guest of honour. ECoR general manager Parameshwar Funkwal felicitated the ECoR team on February 9 in recognition of their achievement.. Congratulating the participants, the General Manager stated that securing a prize at the all India railway level, especially from a non Hindi speaking region, is a matter of great pride for East Coast Railway.
