Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy asserted that Indiramma houses will be sanctioned to all eligible poor families in the State, and that the second phase of allotments will begin from April. “As promised, we will fulfil the dream of every poor family of owning a house,” the Minister said while touring Kalluru mandal in Khammam district along with District Collector Anudeep Durishetty and local MLA Matta Ragamayi Dayanand. The Minister said that in the first phase, as many as 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses were sanctioned across the State, with 3,500 houses per Assembly constituency. Funds were being released every Monday without fail, depending on the stage of construction achieved by beneficiaries. He said the second phase of house sanctions would be launched from April. The Minister laid the foundation stone for four major BT road development works being taken up at an estimated cost of ₹15 crore. Addressing public meetings on the occasion, he said the government is taking welfare and development forward in parallel. Highlighting the government’s achievements in the past nine months, the Minister recalled that ₹ 21,000 crore worth of farm loan waivers were extended to 25 lakh farmers, providing major relief. He also cited key welfare measures such as free bus travel for women, supply of fine rice, issuance of new ration cards, and a 40% hike in diet charges for Gurukul students.
