Mysuru Avadhoota Datta Peetham seer Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swami on Wednesday (December 31) announced that he will lead a seven-day spiritual event between January 2 and 8, which will include the complete recitation of Sri Madbhaagavata shlokas, Narayana Homa, Sri Chakra Puja and evening Bhagavata discourses, aimed at promoting world peace, holistic development and the revival of Sanatana Dharma.

Addressing a press conference here, the seer emphasised that the Bhagavata is not merely a religious text but a guide for the soul, teaching moral and spiritual values applicable to all humanity. He also highlighted the importance of the Bhagavad Gita as a universal scripture beneficial for individuals of all ages, including children and devotees abroad.

The event will be organised at Patamata Kshipraganapati Ashram.

He shared highlights of the peeth’s recent initiatives, including the establishment of a Datta Peetham branch in Ayodhya, free travel for 1,300 devotees from Mysuru and the performance of Ramataraka Yagna, underscoring the peeth’s commitment to spiritual education and social welfare.

Reflecting on the expansion of the peeth, he remarked: “Who would have thought we would establish in Ayodhya? Varanasi and Mathura will also follow.” the seer said.
