Rajahmundry Central Prison authorities on Monday released former Water Resources Minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu for a day on a Prisoner Transfer (PT) warrant issued by the Guntur police to produce him before a local court in a case related to protests against the privatisation of medical colleges. The YSRCP leader is a remand prisoner lodged in the prison in connection with a case registered in Guntur on February 2 for allegedly abusing Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and obstructing the police from discharging their duties. Rajahmundry Central Prison Superintendent S.
