Parliament Budget Session Day 9 updates

This comes in the backdrop of the Opposition alleging that Mr. Gandhi was not allowed to speak in the House during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address.

Speaker Om Birla suspended eight Opposition MPs, including seven from Congress, during the first week of the Budget session. Last week, the lower House witnessed multiple adjournments and protests from Opposition members who sought a response from the government regarding the India-China conflict in 2020, following the publication of extracts from an unpublished memoir by former Army Chief M.M. Naravane in a magazine.
