The World Wide Fund (WWF) for Nature, through the Environment Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme (EIACP) organised Peacock Day events in New Delhi between February 3 and 5. The event brought together various institutions to showcase initiatives promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. EIACP centre housed within the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) – Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (IFGTB) participated in the programme, exhibiting a range of eco-friendly products developed under Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) initiatives. S. Vigneswaran, Senior Programme Officer, explained to visitors the objectives and activities of the EIACP, highlighting the GSDP courses implemented by ICFRE–IFGTB. He said the programmes are designed to build green skills among youth and local communities while encouraging environmentally responsible practices. The exhibition attracted students, ministry representatives, NGOs and the public. Visitors appreciated the eco-friendly innovations on display and commended the ICFRE–IFGTB, EIACP centre for its efforts to promote environmental awareness.
