Director of Secondary Health, A.P., K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu, who is also the Returning Officer for the A.P. Medical Council (APMC) elections–2026, said polling will be held online on Monday (February 9). According to a press release from the Health Department on Sunday, the polls are being held to elect 13 members to the APMC under Section 3(2)(b) of the A.P. Medical Practitioners Registration (APMPR) Act, 1968. A total of 84 candidates are in the fray, and 56,374 registered medical practitioners across the State are eligible to exercise their voting right. The voting will be held between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through the official website https://apmc.ap.gov.in. A dedicated chatbot, APMC Chunav Bot, and helpdesk services (9000780707, 9154032856) have been established to provide assistance during the election. The counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on February 10 at 11 a.m. at the Office of the Director of Secondary Health.
