Dhanekula Engineering College emerges winners of Amaravati hackathon

A team of students from Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET) emerged winners at the grand finale of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon.

According to a press release on Sunday, DIET team displayed excellent technical expertise, innovation, and problem-solving skills, earning top honours at the competitive event. Students from leading institutions participated in the event, showcasing innovative solutions in the field of quantum technologies and advanced computing.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu felicitated the team and presented them with a cash prize of ₹50,000, along with medals and certificates. The team comprised Tamma Kundana Reddy, Mandapati Laxman Kumar Reddy, Mohammed Arif, Mutyala Jaya Vardhan, Bommareddy Durga Pavani and Tamma Pavani.

The management, principal, faculty, and fellow students congratulated the team for bringing laurels to the institution and enhancing its academic reputation at the State level. The achievement stands as a testament to the college’s dedication to nurturing innovation, encouraging research-driven learning, and preparing students to excel in future-ready technologies, the college management said.

The Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for emerging quantum technologies.
