Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes member Raavada Seetharam on Saturday (February 07, 2026) asked officials to ensure issue of cultivation certificates to Scheduled Caste farmers who were given D patta lands long ago. He received petitions from nearly 75 persons in Vizianagaram. A majority of the farmers said that they did not have valid documents of D pattas since they were given to forefathers three-four decades ago. They said that they were unable to get crop loans and other benefits in the absence of certificates. Mr. Seetharam suggested Revenue and Panchayat Department officials to resolve the grievances of SC farmers. Later, he visited Cheepurupalli and Rajam where locals asked the Commission‘s intervention for speedy construction of Ambedkar Bhavans. Cheepurupalli SC leaders complained that the land allocated for Ambedkar Bhavan was occupied by influential people of the constituency.
