‘Swachchtha Run’ held as part of ‘Shikhar Se Sagar Tak’ in Visakhapatnam

The 3k and 5k ‘Swachchtha Run’ and ‘Swachchtha Walk’ conducted by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) and Sulabh International Social Service Organisation (SISSO) on Saturday (February 07, 2026) witnessed good participation from the public at Jodugullapalem and RK Beach. The events were organised as part of ‘Shikhar Se Sagar Tak’. Visakhapatnam East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, and others were present. As part of the programme, sand art and painting competitions were conducted at RK Beach. GVMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. E.N.V. Naresh Kumar, SISSO President Kumar Dilip administered ‘Swachh Andhra Pledge’ to the participants.
