Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the distribution of the Ravi Pillai Academic Excellence Scholarship 2026 on February 11. The scholarship for meritorious students from Kerala will be handed over in the presence of the Chief Minister at a function to be held in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. The scholarships will be presented to 1,500 deserving students in the first batch of the scheme. According to Ajith Kolassery, Chief Executive Officer of NoRKA-Roots, the meritorious students were identified from 10,942 applicants received as part of the scheme. The scholarship scheme is being implemented by the Ravi Pillai Foundation, headed by B. Ravi Pillai, in collaboration with the NoRKA-Roots. The foundation has set aside ₹525 crore for scholarships for the next 50 years. This year, ₹10 crore will be distributed to 1,500 students for educational assistance.
