Devotees visiting the Sri Uma Maheswara Swamy Temple at Yaganti during the Mahasivaratri festivities will not be charged at the tollgate near the temple.

Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy, who reviewed the arrangements for the festivities at the temple, asked the temple officials to give priority to provide smooth darshan to the common devotees. Mr. Janardhan Reddy said Yaganti temple is visited by a large number of devotees from Karnataka and Telangana States and is popular like Srisailam and Mahanandi temples.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the festivities are being organised in a grand manner on the instructions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The Minister asked officials to make arrangements for running special bus services during the festivities and make drinking water arrangements at the temple.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy also wanted officials to ensure that the temple premises was kept clean and also arrange for sign boards indicating parking spaces. He wanted officials of revenue, sanitation, medical and health, police and rural water supply to work in coordination for making all arrangements for the festival.
