The incident occurred on Route No. 79 between Malavalli and Mysuru and involved Mahesh V., driver-cum-conductor (Badge No. 699) from the Malavalli depot, Mandya division. Taking serious note of the incident, Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy directed immediate disciplinary action, terming the act a grave threat to public safety. The corporation has suspended the driver pending inquiry, according to KSRTC.
