The political rally of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) for the northern region led by Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] State secretary M.V. Govindan entered Kozhikode district on Friday (February 6). It was given a reception at Adivaram. The rally then passed through Mukkom, Koduvally and Balussery.

Speaking at an event at Koduvally, Mr. Govindan said that through development initiatives implemented via the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), the State’s infrastructure base and overall profile had been transformed. “The LDF rule has helped eliminate extreme poverty in the State, and unemployment has been addressed through the promotion of entrepreneurship,” he said.

On Saturday (February 7) and Sunday (February 8), the rally will pass through Perambra, Nadapuram, Kuttiyadi, Vadakara, Koyilandy, Elathur, and Kunnamangalam before entering Kozhikode city. A public event will be held at the Muthalakkulam Ground on February 8.
