Iron Mountain senior Oskar Kangas, son of Jodi and Jason Kangas, has committed to play basketball at Division III University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He plans to study information systems. Kangas served as captain of the IMHS varsity team all four years of high school. He was a three-time Player of the Year in the West-PAC and Mid-Peninsula conferences, a two-time U.P. Player of the Year in Division 1-3, and a three-time All-State first team selection. He was also named first team all-state by the Detroit Free Press. During his high school career he had a total of 1,974 points.
