A father and his 19-year-old daughter died in an accident near the NGO Quarters in Kozhikode city on Friday (February 6). The victims were identified as Rafi Moideen Koya, 60, and Fathima Neha, residents of Purakkattiri. The scooter on which they were travelling reportedly fell into a steep roadside ditch around 5 p.m., and both succumbed to their injuries at the spot. The accident occurred in an area without a protective wall. Residents said the construction of the wall was delayed due to differences of opinion among landowners.
