The Higher Education for Persons with Special Needs (HEPSN), Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Resource Education and Charitable Trust (REACT), Madurai, here on Friday (February 6). According to a press release, the MoU was executed to promote inclusive education and enhance employment opportunities for students with disabilities. The MoU was signed by M. Sundaramari, Registrar (in-charge), GRI, and Ramesh Duraikannan, Founder and Director, REACT, Madurai. The signing took place in the presence of Professor N. Panchanatham, Vice-Chancellor, GRI; S. Meenakshi, Director, Research and Development; H. Samuel Thavaraj, Coordinator, HEPSN, and B. Senthil Kumar, co-coordinator, HEPSN. The agreement aims to facilitate skill development, career guidance and placement support for Persons with Disabilities studying at GRI, the release added.
