Playback singer and composer Komanduri Ramachary on Thursday said students should actively participate in fine arts, science and technology, and sports, as the combination of these plays a crucial role in overall personality development and career growth.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the ‘Vignan Mahotsav 2K26’ at Vignan University, Vadlamudi, in Guntur district.

Mr. Ramachary said every student is born with at least one inherent artistic skill, and identifying and nurturing that talent is essential.

He emphasised that academic excellence alone cannot shape a complete individual, and that proficiency in science and technology, along with fine arts and sports, creates confident and capable leaders.

Vignan Educational Institutions chairman Lavu Rattaiah said victory is only a sentence, while defeat is a school that teaches valuable lessons.

He stressed the importance of appreciating both winners and participants to uphold true sportsmanship.

Vignan University CEO Meghana Kurapati said participation was the real success and noted that over 80 competitions were being conducted as part of the festival.

In-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.V. Krishnakishore advised students never to delay learning new skills and to focus equally on physical fitness and creativity.
